- Develop a pipeline by connecting with prospects via phone, email, social media and in-person visits.
- Prepare significant prospect due diligence through extensive research.
- Provide carriers with necessary underwriting information and negotiation on behalf of clients.
- Ability to identify quality prospects and to pre-qualify them.
- Must document daily all activities in agency management system.
- Establish relationships with local centers of influence within target industries.
- Attend trade shows and networking events within target industries.
- Consult clients regarding insurance plan design and coverages.
- Help clients with loss control and risk mitigation programs.
- Educate clients on coverages, important exclusions, and other documentation requirements.
- Work with Account Managers on coverage reviews, renewals, and new coverage options.
- Current Texas Property and Casualty license, or willingness to secure and maintain license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) as well as other online services.
- Willingness to participate in an intensive training program including significant study and work.
