Job description
Responsible for new commercial business, including lead generation, prospect meetings, creating and presenting proposals. Must be able to connect with a diverse group of business owners and executives and build strong professional relationships. Advise and educate clients on complex risk and insurance topics and strategies while working with other client-facing team members. Need to be organized and deliberate in your work. Requires strong work ethic, the ability to the ability to communicate complex topics in an easily understandable way.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop a pipeline by connecting with prospects via phone, email, social media and in-person visits.
  • Prepare significant prospect due diligence through extensive research.
  • Provide carriers with necessary underwriting information and negotiation on behalf of clients.
  • Ability to identify quality prospects and to pre-qualify them.
  • Must document daily all activities in agency management system.
  • Establish relationships with local centers of influence within target industries.
  • Attend trade shows and networking events within target industries.
  • Consult clients regarding insurance plan design and coverages.
  • Help clients with loss control and risk mitigation programs.
  • Educate clients on coverages, important exclusions, and other documentation requirements.
  • Work with Account Managers on coverage reviews, renewals, and new coverage options.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current Texas Property and Casualty license, or willingness to secure and maintain license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) as well as other online services.
  • Willingness to participate in an intensive training program including significant study and work.
