Title:                         Customer Service Representative, Commercial Lines
Purpose:          To carry out the mission of the organization at all times. 
 
Reports to:  Agency Owner
The Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative performs the essential functions of the position, which includes aiding clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts. Specific service and marketing responsibilities am required in this position. Meets service and sales delivery standards and performs essential functions to the quality and service standards developed by the agency. General office administrative duties are also involved.


Systems requirements:
-          Be fluent and skilled in our AMS Vertifore System;  vertafore.com 
- Leveraged advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM platforms, to optimize client and office operations 
-  Hold Texas Property and Casualty License

Personal Organizational Development

•        Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.

•        Maintains a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.

•        Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.

•        Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the agency.

•        Maintains up-to-date technical manuals and understands how to perform technical tasks to expedite client service.

DAILY ACTIVITIES
•        Daily Download Reports from AMS360 and Updating AMS360

•        Invoicing and direct billed policies from download repayment

•        Maintaining monthly renewal list

•        Issuing Binders/Certificates as needed

•        Basic office duties which include processing of received mail, answering telephone, and filing.

•        Quoting and/or re-quoting renewals

WORKING OPERATIONS

•        Small but cordial office environment which requires a self motivated individual with a desire to work and achieve agency goals.

•        The agency will attempt to supply all the necessary tools to perform the previously named responsibilities. Suggestions and/or requests which might better facilitate the agency's performance are welcome.

•        The office is normally open Monday through Friday from 8:15a.m. to 4:45 p.m. with lunch from Noon to 1:00 p.m. The Agency Manual will provide more details related to this.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

•         College education or equivalent insurance experience.

•        Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately.

•         Ability to understand written and oral communication, and interpret abstract information.

•         Property, Casualty, License. Life and Health License may also be required.

•.   Full knowledge of insurance products and usages.

•         Adequate knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned client and prospect lists.

•         Full knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets.

•         Knowledge of insurance rating an underwriting procedures.

•         Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.

•         Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole. numbers, and to ac­ accurately perform simple calculations involving decimals and fractions.

•         Ability to utilize computer programs and understand functionality.
 
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
